LANE 2024: 30th anniversary of the CIRP conference
From September 15 to 19, 2024, the 13th CIRP Conference on Photonic Technologies [LANE 2024] took place in the Stadthalle Fürth. This year we celebrated a very special event – LANE turned 30 years old.
In this anniversary year, around 350 participants from all over the world gathered again to discuss the latest scientific results and developments in the application of lasers in research and industry.
With over 200 talks, LANE 2024 offered a wide range of topics and for the first time there was also a joint session with the AITEM LaserEMobility Community on the topic of “Laser Processes for Future Mobility”. Another highlight took place on the last day of the conference, the Singapore country special, which featured presentations on the latest laser technologies in the country.
In addition to the talks, there was also a varied social program: From the “Casino Night” during the Casual Reception to the “Keep Lasers Running” morning sports program and the banquet at which the new Knight of Laser Technology, Prof. David Bourell, was honored
